You can learn to groom your own Biewer Terrier easily if you are going for the puppy clip, but it is a bit more involved if you want to grow the coat long like a show dog. Most people prefer a pet clip to keep the need for brushing to a minimum.
Bathe when necessary with quality shampoo. This breed has a single coat with hair, as opposed to fur, so they don't really shed like most dogs do. Some breeders recommend weekly baths, but I prefer to keep the coat oil / PH balance as natural as I can. That said, I brush daily and bathe when the coat is actually dirty. Sometimes I will go a month or more between baths. You'll know it's dirty when you have more tangles or mats and you see more hair left in the brush than you normally do. Then it's definitely time for a bath!
In a pinch I've used the small bottles of Loreal shampoo when we're traveling, but at home I use a quality dog shampoo and conditioner, to ensure the PH is correct for my dog's coat. After your final rinse, gently squeeze extra water from the coat (don't rub it) and blow dry your dog. You can just use your fingers to start, and as it begins to dry, brush it out so you have a clean and untangled dog. It should be easier to brush for a while now that the coat isn't dirty anymore.
Moustache clippers are used to shave the top 1/3 tips of ears ~ front & back, as well as edges of the ear tips, hygiene areas around the rear and bottom of feet.
Use nail clippers or Dremel to clip/grind toenails just after a bath while nails are soft, and hair is easier to keep out of the way. Don't let toenail clips get away from you! Your dog will be much more comfortable with shorter toenails. If you take your dogs for neighborhood walks, you may find the back toenails don't need trimming as much as they tend to get filed down by the sidewalk.

If you want the long show coat look, here are some of my tips that I have gleaned from other breeders who also show and from personal experience.
Some coats are more silky, which means they may grow slower but are less prone to matts and tangles, while some Biewer coats are softer and more puffy / cottony. It's best to work in small sections to clear any tangles or mats that may have found a place to hang out before continuing around your dog. Armpits are notorious for hiding things.
1) Lightly mist a small section of hair with a coat spray such as Crown Royale Magic Touch Formula 3 or Tauro PH neutral water if you want to keep product from building up with daily brushing. The very light mist helps to keep the hair from breaking as you brush through it. Don't rake deep into the coat, but work in sections for best results when you start brushing.
2) Using small oval brush with natural bristles and nylon pins, lightly go through a section of coat. If you find it's not going through without resistance, STOP and figure out where the problem lies. If you find a mat, try to use your finger tips / fingernails to pry it apart from the outside, working your way in. Don't just brush from the top or you'll tighten the knot.
3) Use pin brush with rubber back to make sure the area is free from tangles. If you hear something catching, then you know you need to find where that is.
4) Slicker brush is a great way to pick apart matts if necessary and fluff up sensitive areas such as legs and feet, and face.
5) Long toothed Comb - used after you think you have all the tangles out ~ you'll probably find something you didn't expect with your comb. Now you're done brushing for the day or ready for a bath!
It sounds daunting I know, but once you get into a routine, managing a show coat is worth the effort! It brings such joy to my heart to see her running around in that glorious coat!!
